Those complex paintings relied on design to tell stories of ancient Chinese dynasties like Han and Ming, as well as Tibetan religious and cultural ceremonies , all depicted in great and multi-colored detail. Later, after becoming a US Citizen in 1990, and adopting the name Richard Ho, he went back to his early art training and began drawing figurative story telling featuring Victorian musicians and dancers as well as European and American cityscapes, especially his beloved Venice, Italy . Today he resides in California after completing a “Visiting Professorship” in art and drawing at Shanghai University in China.
